Congratulations to Ms. Sarah Beatty on her recognition as the February 2022 Region 5 FCPS CARES Recipient of the Month by the Department of Human Resources.

Below is the write-up submitted by Principal Iyer.

Sarah Beatty’s title is Instructional Assistant, however it should be “Jill of All Trades”. Ms. Beatty is relied upon by every staff member and student and her presence can be felt in all parts of our school community. She is a passionate, proactive, creative, organized, problem solving dynamo who works hard to create positive relationships with students and staff. Ms. Beatty regularly supports staff by planning for and delivering quality math lessons, using interesting and student-centered strategies, designed to target student and staff needs. She often provides coverage for classes, team-teaches large and small groups of students, and consistently plans for, teaches, and takes data for math intervention groups. Ms. Beatty’s ability to positively connect with students serves her well as she meets with students with varying learning abilities in the classroom, hallway, and cafeteria (as she monitors student lunches). In consultation with the math specialist, Ms. Beatty plans for and implements our school’s math night. Each year she works hard to integrate our school’s themes and vision and has planned math activities highlighting Portrait of a Graduate and the Positivity Project. Additionally, Ms. Beatty maintains our math resource room, which is filled with student and staff instructional materials. This year, Ms. Beatty has taken on the role of Co-Patrol Sponsor with fierce enthusiasm. She took initiative to research the AAA Patrol Program, transform our school’s protocols, establish clear expectations and policies, and create a Schoology site to communicate with Patrols and their families. School community and positive relationships are incredibly important to Ms. Beatty. She mentors students, plays in the student and staff band, and leads our school’s Instructional Assistant CLT. There are simply not enough words to communicate how much we appreciate Ms. Beatty and all that she does for our school. She is an amazing and incredibly valued member of our Eagle View School Community and the Administrative Team cannot thank Ms. Beatty enough for all of her efforts.
