Meet our Fourth Grade Team
Mrs. McConnell grew up in Fairfax County and is a FCPS alumni. In 2009 she graduated from George Mason University with her undergraduate degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. Mrs. McConnell then obtained her Masters of Education from Marymount University. She joined Eagle View in 2010 and started off her career teaching first grade. This will be Mrs. McConnell's sixth year as a fourth grade teacher. She enjoys working with her co-workers to promote a community of learners. Mrs. McConnell is a mom to the sweetest three year old little girl and a docile pug named Mowgli. She loves going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends.
Ms. Wade joined Eagle View in 2012. This is her 6th year teaching fourth grade! She graduated from American University in Washington, DC. Go Eagles! She recently adopted a puppy named Eleanor who loves to chew everything in the house. Ms. Wade is from Cape May, NJ and she loves to go to the beach. She is always on the lookout for good book recommendations.
Mrs. Plaugher has been at Eagle View for 3 years. She has always been a 4th grade teacher and this will be her eighth year teaching. A proud graduate of Fairfax County Public Schools herself, Mrs. Plaugher went to James Madison University to earn her Masters in the Art of Teaching. She loves science and social studies and is always looking for new ways to bring technology into the classroom. When she isn't in teacher mode, she is the mom of two adorable little girls (one who is in Kindergarten at EV this year!) and enjoys reading, dance parties, and spending time in the sunshine!
Mr. Scarborough is entering his tenth year with Fairfax County Public Schools, his fifth year at Eagle View, and his fifth year as a special education teacher. An FCPS alumnus, Mr. Scarborough earned a bachelor's degree in music composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio, as well as a master's degree in special education from the University of Virginia. At Eagle View, he enjoys occasionally accompanying chorus concerts; outside of Eagle View, he enjoys composing original music and musicals. Mr. Scarborough's wife has also worked for five years as a special educator within FCPS. They both frequently work as cast and/or crew in for local community theater productions.
